Cashing In When Mists Of Pandaria Launches
Sun, 18/03/2012 - 12:20
I know it's kind of early, but I'm pretty excited about the next
expansion coming out this year. I'm ready to roll up a Pandaren
monk right now, actually, but one thing I'd like to do is make a
lot of gold when the expansion comes out, too.
Click Here To Get A Jumpstart On The Competition
It is most definitely not too early to ask about making a large
amount of WoW gold when Mists of Pandaria launches (probably in
time for Christmas this year). Nobody knows what crafting,
professions, and resources (herbs, minerals, etc.) are going to
look like between 525 and 600 skill level yet, but there are many
steps you can take now to prepare for a profitable future, using no
more than the professions that your characters have at this moment.
Just bear in mind that things can change rapidly and unexpectedly
when a new expansion hits the shelves. However, it is also one of
the moments in the game when a savvy virtual entrepreneur can make
a killing in the Auction House, whether or not they happen have a
goblin character!
Here are some of the best tips that I can offer at the moment.
Prepare for soaring demand for bags
Following an expansion, a large number of new characters are
always rolled up as millions of players try out the fresh, exciting
races that have become available to them. Draenei, blood elves,
worgen, goblins – all generated a lot of demand for “new character
gear”, and one of the most universally desired and purchased items
are large bags for new alts.
This means that tailors can expect to see a temporary but massive
demand for Embersilk Bags to outfit the several million new
Pandaren characters who will be rolled up across the world in the
week or two following the expansion's retail release. Stockpile the
materials needed to make these 22-slotters now, so that you will
not need to purchase Embersilk and Hypnotic Dust at inflated prices
during the release period.
Those who are not tailors can get in on the “bag craze” by
stockpiling Hypnotic Dust and Embersilk as well, but in this case,
to sell it as raw materials to tailors rather than to use it
directly. There will be plenty of tailors who will see a bit late
which way the market is turning, and will be willing to pay high
prices on materials in order to capture a slice of the profits for
themselves.
Sell to those who cannot afford “Mists” prices
Mists of Pandaria will be introducing plenty of new level
90/profession level 600 items, including inscriptions,
enchantments, gems, and other enhancements for character equipment.
Obviously, you cannot arrange to make these in advance, prior to
the retail release, and fighting your way to 600 in your
character's professions will take too long to take full advantage
of the new expansion purchases.
Therefore, a good plan is to prepare to make desirable Cataclysm
enhancements. Older enchantments, after all, offer the same
benefits as the latest cutting edge enchantments, just at a toned
down level. Perhaps the latest enchantment offers +300 strength –
but at an immense price. There will be many people who will be
willing to pay a moderate amount to get +100 strength instead.
True, the enchantment is not as good as the latest equivalent, but
many people do not have tens of thousands of gold to spend on a few
enchantments. They are still a good market, however, since they do
have moderate amounts of gold and still want to enchant characters'
gear to help in dealing with the tough new content that Mists of
Pandaria will feature.
You can make a hefty profit and fill your coffers with virtual WoW
gold by aiming at these “middle of the road” sales with the best
Cataclysm items enhancements. Keep your materials raw at this point
until you can form an accurate judgment of the specific
enhancements in demand.
Maximize as many professions as possible
Though there are limits on which characters are eligible to “max
out” their professions, those who are high enough level to reach
525 in their professions should be taken there as quickly as
possible if you want to make large amounts of gold after the
expansion goes live. This will put you in a position to exploit
whichever markets happen to be profitable in the wake of Mists.
Stockpiling raw materials is an excellent plan too – at worst, you
can recoup your investment by selling these to other people whose
characters are leveling up their professions.
Getting a leveling jump on the competition
The sooner your character reaches endgame, the sooner you can
start acquiring exotic materials and recipes for your professions.
One way to get a boost in leveling after the expansion's launch is
to complete 25 daily quests now, but do not turn them in yet. Wait
until after the expansion is installed and your character's
experience points have been turned on again – then turn them in to
jumpstart your rush to the endgame with 25 quests' worth of
experience.
If you'd like to position yourself to capitalize on breakthrough methods that will
rake in the big bucks once MoP rolls out the shelves, make sure to check out

Epic Gems in Patch 4.3
Fri, 30/12/2011 - 08:37
I get a ton of questions from players who want more specific
training in WoW, step-by-step guides and other techniques to
dominate World of Warcraft. If you like playing WoW, and you want
to master it:
==> Then This is COMPULSORY Viewing (click here)
***QUESTION***
Hi Tony! I've been using your strategies in WoW for quite some time
now, and it's been working like magic: my guild is closing in on
Deathwing 25 Man and my bank gold has almost tripled!!! YEAH! My
guildies have really started to take notice and begun to nag me for
my secrets (i'm trying to keep them all to myself though muahahah
*evil laugh*)
As an avid trader in the Auction House, I was wondering what your
take was on the new Epic Gems in Patch 4.3 and which gems I should
be focusing on, in terms of trading for profit?
Cheers
-JJ Kristos
**************
Hey JJ,
You’re in luck, I just finished an article on how to make a fortune
with Epic Gems and since you asked for it, here it is!
How To Make A Fortune With Epic Gems
It was obvious months before Patch 4.3 hit that epic gems would be
making their appearance in Cataclysm’s final, major patch of the
expansion.
New Jewelcrafting vendors have been introduced in the game with
Epic Cut Patterns, which can be bought with 5 Illustrious
Jewelcrafter’s Tokens which is equivalent to 5 day’s worth of
dailies. Opportunists can take a risk and learn a random cut by
purchasing a Tome of Burning Jewels, which required only 4 tokens.
Without a doubt, this new vendor will have a tremendous impact on
the jewelcrafting profession -- and, with any luck, a tremendous
positive impact on your in-game bank account as well.
At the moment, Auction Houses across all servers are experiencing
high trade volume over these in-demand items as every player
regardless of skill level wants to have their gear decked out in
epic gems. Unfortunately, many do not have the gold or access to
the gems and this is inflating the price of uncut epic gems to
astronomical heights.
Identifying the Profitable Gems.
The fact of the matter is, not all gem cuts are created equal. Past
events have shown that only a few cuts will see serious trading
action, mainly the Bold Queen’s Garnet and the Brilliant Queen’s
Garnet which bestow +50 Strength and +50 Intellect to their
respective sockets. Others, like miscellaneous Deepholm Iolite
cuts (the new blue epic gem), will see weak demand at best.
The fact that each Gem color has about 6 cuts on average, requiring
5 days worth of dailies make it absolutely imperative that you
identify the most popular cuts to trade on. Most players are an
impatient lot, and when they get a new piece of gear, they will
waste no time in gemming it for maximum performance.
They will most likely start at the top of the pile and will rarely waste their
hard earned money on inferior quality gems. Take advantage of these
opportunities to sell your gems for an avalanche of profits.
Conclusion
For Auction House traders intent on making their fortune with this
approach, it is obvious that you start stocking up on Illustrious
Jewelcrafter’s Tokens right away, if you aren’t doing it already.
Considering the fact that each Tome will set you back 4 tokens,
with 60 epic gem patters to learn …. You do the math but the point
I’m trying to make is – that is a lot of dailies on your plate.
Also, because it is relatively early days, I fully expect prices to
continue to drop as epic gems become more accessible to the
community at large. . As prices fall, which they will, the volume
that these things sell will increase. Budding Auctioneers should
start monitoring their servers for signs of price stabilization and
step in to fill the demand when it happens.
P.S. If you liked what you read here, you shouldn't miss out on all
the great stuff that’s going on at this site. :-

What is The WoW Colosseum?
Sat, 24/12/2011 - 08:38
Meet Jason from The WoW Colosseum
My name is Jason Devlin.
Now,
if you’re anything like the hundreds of WoW players I’ve spoken to
over the past few months, chances are you’re SICK and TIRED of the same
old Leveling, Gold-Making and PvP Guides flooding the marketplace
every few weeks or so
The reason you probably haven’t heard of me in the World of Warcraft arena until today is because…
For the last 4 years, I was too busy playing the game and refining my strategies and techniques
You
see, the problem with World of Warcraft right now is that the ‘gurus’
you buy from make THEIR money selling tired old strategies to honest
players like YOU!
Everything’s been done to death… the same old strategies have been regurgitated a million times
The average player could not possibly advance in such an environment!!
And when you have been dominating the game for as long as I have
It kinda makes you wonder why everyone’s buying all those half-assed guides out there filled with outdated information..

Patch 4.3 News Part 1
Sat, 10/12/2011 - 18:09
My good friend, Alan Hunter, has developed a system that anyone can
follow and he shows real proof that he is indeed one of the best
players to ever grace the game......using this system
Check out the eye-popping video here...
As we all know, Patch 4.3 was released a couple of days ago,
bringing tons of new content and challenging raids for us to sink
our teeth into.
Here's a question I have been asked many times over the past few
days.
Have a look!
Question from Blaise of Dethecus.
Hi Tony,
First of all, thanks very much for the insightful and varied info
that you provide to us WoW fans. There's a lot of second rate
information out there, so the high quality stuff you provide is
really appreciated since it cuts through the b.s. and gives us the
tools we need to actually succeed in the game. Bravo!
Anyway, I'm pretty strongly into the raiding scene, and I'm excited
about the Dragon Soul raid that's being introduced in Patch 4.3. Do
you have any useful advance pointers that will help me and my guild
get ready for the last fight of the raid – the one against
Deathwing?
Thanks very much!
Hi Blaise,
Thanks for the kind words and the knowledge that my guide and other
World of Warcraft information is making a positive difference for
other players.
Now, let me get to the meat and potatoes of this week's newsletter,
which is giving you some useful strategies for getting through
Dragon Soul successfully, as per your request.
The Dragon Soul raid, as you probably know, is a new raid
introduced in Patch 4.3 along with Void Storage, Arena Season 11,
and a lot of other goodies that we'll be talking about more in the
coming weeks. Dragon Soul is the peak of the Cataclysm storyline
and features six bosses leading up the seventh boss, Deathwing
himself (who, of course, needs to be officially “killed off” to
bring the Cataclysm story arc to an end before the release of Mists
of Pandaria sometime next year).
This is pretty exciting stuff, with the final encounter being a
fight with the dragon who caused the Cataclysm in the first place.
Epic excitement, deadly encounters – and of course, plenty of
interesting strategies to challenge you on your way to victory over
Deathwing. Note that these strategies for fighting Deathwing apply
to the new “Looking for Raid” difficulty (a somewhat easier,
introductory raiding difficulty for those just starting) and for
Normal Difficulty.
The earlier fights have plenty of challenging mechanics and
different phases to keep you on your toes, but the most complicated
is naturally the Deathwing fight. This fight takes place as two
separate encounters, as befits such a mighty, legendary foe.
The first follows right after the “skyship” battle with Warmaster
Blackhorn, and involves removing Deathwing's armor plating while
clinging to his back in order to make him vulnerable enough to slay
in the second encounter.
There are three armor plates on the back of the dragon that must be
removed. The battle centers around getting these off while
surviving damage dealing abilities and the possibility of being
thrown off by one of Deathwing's barrel rolls. At least two tanks
are required for this encounter – it is impossible for one tank to
handle.
Four Corruption Tendrils sprouting from Deathwing's back must first
be attacked, and three of them destroyed. They have both a
squeezing attack and a debuff, Searing Plasma, which can be removed
by casting 300,000 healing on the character suffering from the
effect. Grasping Tendrils spawn once three Corruption Tendrils have
been destroyed; go to these when a barrel roll is imminent as they
are the only method of keeping your character from being thrown off
the dragon entirely (except for the uncommon Fiery Grip debuff).
Destruction of a Corruption Tendril spawns a Corrupted Blood – a
fiery ooze – and a Hideous Amalgamation – an elemental made up of
fire and armor fragments. One tank should hold aggro on the
Tendrils and the Bloods, and the other focus on Amalgamations.
Killing a Corrupted Blood leaves a motile pool of residue which
creeps back to the hole where it spawned – the second tank must
lead the Amalgamation through this residue, which will be absorbed
and give the Amalgamation a buff.
You need to stack 9 of these buffs, called Absorbed Blood, on an
Amalgamation and lead it quickly to one of the armor plates on
Deathwing's back. Once there, the Amalgamation will explode in a
Nuclear Explosion after 5 seconds – get clear, as this will inflict
huge damage, but it also loosens the armor plate and creates an add
called a Burning Tendon. Killing this Burning Tendon is what
removes the armor plate – you only have a 23 second window to kill
it, so DPS quickly.
Standing in one of the holes on Deathwing's back both triggers
Grasping Tendrils to keep you in place and a Barrel Roll. The Roll
throws off Corrupted Bloods and Hideous Amalgamations, so if large
numbers have spawned, you can clear the field by triggering a
Barrel Roll – usually a good move, actually, after killing the
initial three Corruption Tendrils. Then kill the fourth Corruption
Tendril and use the Corrupted Blood and Hideous Amalgamation
spawned from it to start removing the plates.
Once you have removed all three armor plates, it's time to take on
the dragon directly in the Madness of Deathwing encounter, which
we'll take a closer look at in some other time.
P.S. Found this information useful? If you’re anxious about experiencing
all that Patch 4.3 has to offer, you should take 2 minutes of your time
to watch this interesting video.

Mists of Pandaria Gold Making
Sat, 03/12/2011 - 11:28
One
of the biggest challenges Blizzard faces as Warcraft continues to
expand in scope is giving players choices, but maintaining balance amid
those choices. Every expansion brings change to the World of Warcraft.
By looking at those changes, we can see trends that point to further
development into the future. Some of the major trends we've seen so far:
- Deep But Simple
Talents have undergone changes with every expansion. What abilities do,
how hard they hit, how many you get for "free" for choosing a spec, how
you modify them have all been overhauled. The goal was to make talents
easier to understand while bringing more depth to the game. - Accessibility
Classic WoW was noted for it's grind-y nature. You had to put in hours
and hours of time to get anywhere and progress your character. New raids
often required completing old ones to be able to access them. But over
time, things like price reductions (mounts, training of skills),
alternate progression (badges, more crafted gear) and new/changed
features (Dungeon/Raid Finder, weekly valor caps, daily quest hubs,
reduced XP for old content) all aim to remove the barrier of entry for
people new to the game. Increasingly, it's easier for new players to
catch up to long-time players. - Balance and "Fairness"
While Blizzard can never make all things equal, they strive as much as
possible to do so. DPS numbers, class cooldowns, mobility and utility
all need to be balanced. It's the reason Druids lost their position as
the sole battle res, why tank abilities were brought into line to
provide similar tools, damage reducing cooldowns and raid survivability.
Profession bonuses are all about equal so people don't feel they have
to take a certain combo to maximize their effectiveness in game.
These
are just a few broad trends, but they have informed (and will continue
to inform) the development of this game we love to play. What are their
implications for gold-making in Mists of Pandaria? Some predictions for
you:
Cataclysm
changed glyphs from commodities to "skills" you learn. No longer did
people need multiple copies of a glyph if they wanted to switch out
glyphs. Instead, learn it once and change them whenever you want for the
lost cost of about 9g by purchasing a reagent from the glyph vendors.
Most classes, however, don't have much choice in their glyphs. There are
certain popular (read: mandatory) glyphs, so while there is an illusion
of choice, in reality there isn't much.
A quick look through the
Mists of Pandaria talent calculator shows that many of the unpopular
glyphs are being included as part of the base spell. Blizzard has even
stated that they are considering removing prime glyphs in their current
state because they are so uninteresting from a choice perspective. The
entire system isn't going away, however, so something is going to have
to fill the gap to make glyphs an interesting/meaningful choice going
forward. At a minimum, this could mean many new glyphs. But it could
also mean a completely different concept for glyphs and what they do.
Maybe there is a set of glyphs for your companion pets that ties into
the new pet battle system.
All
of them. Cooking, Fishing, Jewelcrafting and Inscription already have
them. The new Darkmoon Faire added profession skill-up quests to help
ease the leveling of professions. It's not hard to imagine all of the
professions getting some sort of quest in MoP. I think a combination of
weekly skill increases (+5 each week) coupled with a daily token system
like Jewelcrafting would help people max their profession, while still
allowing the dedicated trader to get a leg up by doing dailies.
Alchemy
(Transmutes) and tailoring (Dream Cloth) have one already. Other
professions will get one as a way to artificially limit supply. It will
help casual auctioneers make more money off other players (an important
point in the ongoing battle against hyper-inflation in Warcraft) rather
than generating more money from NPCs (like the obsidium shuffle and 9g
vendor gems). Too much gold coming into the economy from "created"
sources (in other words, new money is created and given to the players
from mobs, quests, vendor sales) leads to higher prices, making it
harder for the average player to keep up with the "haves".
The
end-game benefits of gathering professions lag too far behind the
crafting professions. Blizzard is looking for ways to get people out
into the world more and away from the capital cities. Buffing the
benefits to gathering professions will help a bit. There's talk that
archeology could get random encounters at digsites with mummies or
similar archeology-themed mobs. Killing the mob would result in more
artifacts. Why can't mining/herbing/skinning have a similar function
added to make them more interesting? Maybe killing the mob gives a
unique material (like a chaos orb) that gives some added value to the
gathering professions. Skin enough mobs in an area and DEHTAmight show
up to attack you. Fight them off and you get a buff to attack power
against creatures to kill skinnable mobs faster.
I can also see
the relationship of gathering/crafting professions becoming more closely
linked, much like Mining/Blacksmithing. Smiths require a miner to smelt
ore into bars. Why don't other profession pairs have this relationship?
It would encourage people to keep the gathering professions while
making pairings on the same character more useful. A system like this
could add some depth too, where some recipes required you have both the
crafting and gathering profession on the same character through the use
of some bind-on-pickup item.

Gold Speed Run - Instant Bonus Download
Sun, 13/11/2011 - 09:49
I was watching the first video in Jonathan Kenins' preview
series for his all-new Gold Speed Run event.
Gold Speed Run Video #1 - "Winning the Gold Game"
Wow... you've got to check out the results he shows from
the last Speed Run. Amazing!
But a little bit further into the video (it's about 15
minutes long, btw), I had to start wondering about Jon's
sanity!
He's talking about how he came up with the Gold Speed Run
concept in the first place, back in Burning Crusade days.
And he shows this document in the video... it's the actual
journal and transaction log he kept during his first
"official" speed run.
OMG... this guy is obsessed. You only get a glimpse of
it in the video, but it's a complete record and analysis
of every single move he made in his gold-game for 30 days.
- Every transaction in the auction house
- Every item he bought and sold
- What toons he set up, and how he worked them
- Detailed notes on successes and failures
And then I thought to myself... I wish I could get a hold
of that report. It's basically a complete step-by-step
blueprint to running your own Gold Speed Run and making
huge profits in 30 days. 100,000 Gold here I come!
And just as I was thinking that: blam... I get an email from
Jon saying that he's added the complete GSR 1 journal as an
instant bonus download on the video page:
Get Jon's Instant Bonus - "Gold Speed Run I - 30 Days to Gold"
Even if you've already watched the video, head back there
and grab this report. It's 119 pages of hard-core, Gold-making
secret intel. You've never seen anything like it before.
Sincerely,
GoldSpeedRun.org
P.S. If this is your first visit to Jon's Gold Speed Run
site, you'll need to sign up for the preview videos series
to get at the download. Don't even think twice... you'll
love the videos, and this bonus report is solid gold :)

WoW Crusher - Your Questions Answered
Tue, 01/11/2011 - 18:53
The last few days has been CRAZY.
I've received about 500MBs worth of email and I'm still going
through all of them...
If you'd like to check out my latest WoW videos and tutorials,
plus read the story of how I teamed up with one of the biggest
names in the game and learn the secrets to playing WoW at the
highest possible level, then go and read THIS:
==> Watch This Video And Learn How The Pros Do It!
Here's 1 question I get very often from our JMTC subscribers and
very recently, some readers who have signed up for WoW Crusher.
***WoW QUESTION FROM A READER***
Hey Markco!
Your WoW Crusher system is 100% pure magic. Ever since I logged
into the member's area I have been using your tutorials to excel in
Heroics, Arena and Rated Battlegrounds. I even made 100K yesterday
with your advice on Twilight Jasmine and various other herbs. Your
information is really good, and I look forward to even more success
in the future!
And now to the question, I've been starting to level multiple alts
in order to utilize the strategies in your guide to their full
potential, but it is a very time-consuming and more importantly
expensive pastime, using gold every couple or so levels in order to
keep in line with the gear to level faster. Is there anything I can
do to lessen the levelling impact on my bank account?
Michael T
***MY COMMENTS***
It's great to hear your positive experiences with the WoW Crusher
guide. Your feedback mirrors a lot of the replies I've been getting
from other subscribers and it really makes my day.
Now onto your question, if anything, I detest leveling with a
passion. It's a painstakingly long and not to mention boring
process. Sure with all the new heirlooms and guild benefits,
leveling has become a significantly faster and less tiresome
process, but with each expansion you get hit with an extra 5-10
levels that you have to repeat again on some other toon. As a rule
of thumb, there is something I must make sure that I've doing while
leveling, which is making gold.
Here are some tips that will ensure that you will cash in and not
lose gold from leveling your alts.
Questing Post Level 68
At level 68 you should be heading into Wrath of the Lich King
zones, it doesn't matter how you have been leveling in the past,
questing is now the way to go if you want to make money (it's also
probably one of the most efficient ways if you know what you're
doing also), each quest will give you anywhere between 5-20 gold
reward and it really adds up over time
Do not spend Gold on Gear, EVER
Apart from heirlooms, I would advise that you NEVER buy gear while
you are leveling. There are plenty of options to acquire gear
during your leveling escapades, especially those sweet dungeon
drops and quest rewards which ensure that you are always stay ahead
of the leveling curve. Even if your gear currently sucks it won't
make a huge difference to your performance and a swanky upgrade is
probably around the corner in the next dungeon you visit. In
summation, don't do it.
Choose your leveling professions wisely
Don't rush headfirst into this decision and take your time to
decide your leveling professions carefully.
I would recommend picking up mining and herbalism whilst you are on
your way to 85. Reason being low level mats are usually in high
demand for players leveling up new professions for their alts and
you can sell these mats for a huge profit. In fact, you can watch
some of our vids we've put up in the members area which teach you
how to rake in the big bucks with low level mats and monopolizing
your Auction House at the same time.
** QUESTION FROM ANOTHER WOW CRUSHER READER **
Whatsup Markco..
Let me start out by saying you are my saviour. I've been signed on
to your JMTC newsletters for 2 years running and signed up for a
spot in WoW Crusher at the first available opportunity.
It's a stellar guide and I especially like your detailed write-ups
on each of the different classes as well as your high quality
videos.
Now that Mists of Pandaria is around the corner, my question for
you is what do you think of the new talent tree changes? Yay or Nay?
Cheers
Indy B
** MY RESPONSE **
Thanks for the kind words Indy, its people like you that fuel my
passion and I hope you enjoy next month's WoW Crusher newsletters
and brand new videos we are planning to put up in the next couple
of days.
Now on to your question.
Just as Blizzard revamped the rules with Cataclysm, the new Talent
Tree changes in the Mists of Pandaria are going to completely
change the way we play the game. This is a total reworking of
the talent tree, in a sense that they are barely recognizable
anymore. Those complex talent trees that open up every 2 levels
have been removed, replaced with six separate choices spread across
the course of 90 levels.
Blizzard has mentioned that this is an attempt to eliminate
Cookie-Cutter builds and introduce some diversity in the game and
if that was their intention, this definitely adds new layers of
customization as wellas make it more fun and accessible to the
casuals, which is always good in my book.
Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with what's been on display so far.
Do realize that its early days for the expansion and that anything
that's been revealed so far could change at the drop of a hat, but
I'm feeling quite positive with the new direction Blizzard is
taking us in regards this aspect of gameplay.
I look forward to watching the lines blur between specs from each
class and the ability to combine new abilities that were not
available before, for example a shadow priest being able to cast
Power Infusion (which is a currently a Discipline Priest spell)
***QUESTION FROM A MEMBER***
Hey Markco,
I've been taking a look at your videos and guides in WoW Crusher
and so far they have been really helpful. I've actually improved my
DPS significantly in the past few days. Thanks! =)
My question for you is actually gold-related. The thing is , I've
been following the great tips and gold-making videos in the
member's Area, and always have a blast using the AH strategies in
the WoW Crusher as well as the daily JMTC feed, but I'm looking for
more.
Thing is, once you've see the gold rolling in, you can't help but
get addicted and want more! Are there any gold making strategies
you that are timeless and won't go obsolete by the time the next
patch hits?
Thanks in advance!
Killian K
***MY COMMENTS***
Your wish is my command! I really get ALOT of people asking for
more gold making strategies, I guess you can never really have
enough, although I really do advocate sticking with just a few
strategies that you are comfortable with, and just hitting those up
over and over again to make THOUSANDS of gold! But needless to say,
not all strategies are good for everyone... some people
are limited by time, server, or starting capital and because of
that I try to provide as many strategies
as possible. Here's some other gold making strats and tips which I
hope you will all find useful!
1) Take advantage of player's laziness.
This might sound devious but if you take some time to think about
it, there are A LOT of WoW players out there. No offense to my
readers, but how many times have you been too lazy to do something
and resorted to using the Auction House, whether it's been for
questing, dailies, or crafting, I'm sure that there have been times
that you have resorted to the AH for a certain item or material
that you know is stocked up on some alt somewhere, but instead you
choose the AH to save you time at the cost of money.
This is exactly where smart gold makers come in, if you are able to
provide items which players want and earn a profit from there
(anything from cooking recipes to JC dailies gems) you can earn a
huge profit, personally I like to buy a lot of ore for cheap
(something like 30g a stack these days) and sell the gems which can
be used for JC dailies, and other rare gems on auction house, this
usually nets at least 100% return on investment and all i had to do
was prospect and post the stuff on AH.
2) The 80/20 Rule - I had to dig deep into my vault of classic JMTC
posts for this timeless AH gold-making strategy.Have you heard of
the 80/20 rule? It states that 80% of your results will come from
20% of your efforts, and it holds true across a number of areas,
even World of Warcraft.
Applying this rule in the WoW Auction House, basically you try to
find items that sell really well in your AH server and optimize
your trading by greatly reducing the number of items to look for
and focusing on goods you know will sell fast.
Stuff I did :-
Items which had little value at the auction house above the vendor
sell price, I started selling to vendors. Things like common
recipes and formulas worth 1 g 50 s at the AH and 60 s at a vendor.
Lowered my starting bids and buyouts so I would be at the cheap end
of the scale to sell things quicker.
If something was just occasionally in demand, saved it in the bank
until someone wanted to buy it in the trade channel.
Started using an alt for the purpose of only selling and trading
the AH. Doing so saves a lot of time.
These changes gave me more time to grind, quest and raid, which can
also be profitable and above all, fun. So keep in mind that 80% of
your gold will probably come from 20% of your auctions, and you
should focus on that 20% and not spend too much time fine-tuning
and trying to sell less profitable items.
Hope you find these tips useful guys, I'll be tackling more
reader-related questions in the next few days, so hang tight!
And for those of you who haven't hopped on the WoW Crusher
bandwagon...
Wutcha waiting for?
P.S Seriously, if I've learned anything, its that time is of the
essence and you can change how you play WoW forever RIGHT NOW and
get everything you could ever dream of...
