pve bible - wow pve - custom

Although it's
only friends and family at the moment this is still
fantastic news
because it means that the expansion is now playable
to a large
extent.

Hopefully we'll be able to get some information about
beta once the
alpha has been going for awhile.

If any of you
are lucky enough to know a blizzard employee, you
should have them
request you a key a.s.a.p.!

It seems like the expansion was only
announced like a month ago. I
guess in these modern days of
MMORPGs, you get used to waiting
years for games and expansions to
be released, and thankfully
Blizzard never makes us wait long!

Just
remember, due to this information, I'm sure there's going to
be
large amounts of scams trying to get information saying you can
get
into Alpha, remember that they are not real and it's only a
friends
and family alpha!

Updates on Cataclysm changes:

The Major
PvE change is the current Badge system is to be replaced
by a PvE
points system, similar to the current battlegrounds
system. There
will be 2 tiers of points.

Hero Points - Low-tier,
easier-to-get PVE points. Maximum cap to
how many you can own, but
no cap to how quickly you can earn them.
Earned from most dungeons.
(most like the current Emblem of Triumph)

Valor Points -
High-tier, harder-to-get PvE points. Maximum cap to
how many you can
own, as well as a cap to how many you can earn per
week. Earned
from Dungeon Finder daily

Heroic and from raids. (most like the
current Emblem of Frost)

PvP is getting a points system as
well...

Honor Points - Low-tier, easier-to-get PVP points. There
will be a
maximum cap to how many you can own, but no cap to how
quickly you
can earn them. Earned from most PvP activities.

Conquest
Points - High-tier, harder-to-get PvP points. There will
be a
maximum cap to how many you can own, and a cap to how many you
can
earn per week. Earned from winning

Rated Battlegrounds or
Arenas. (currently called Arena Points).

The higher-tier points
will, of course, have better rewards.. When
a new tier of gear is
released, the higher tier of points will be
converted to the lower
tier, so players will always begin a new season
with no Valor or
Conquest Points.

There are also plans for players to be able to
convert the lower
tier PvP points to PvE and vice versa, though at a
slight loss.

Cataclysm Raids Changes

Blizzard is
chucking the separate lockouts for 10 and 25 man
encounters, on both
normal and heroic modes. In other words, there
will be one lockout
for each raid, you'll no longer be able to
complete both versions of
a raid. Instead, raid
leaders will now be able to change the size
of an existing raid to
suit the size of the group, for example, if
half of a raid has been
completed as 25 man, it will be possible to
swap the rest of it to 10 man.

Both 10 and 25 man raids will
drop the same loot in Cataclysm, but
more loot will drop from each
boss in 25 man mode, along with more
points, and more gold, making
the challenge of a larger raid worthwhile.

Raids will be able
decide whether or not to tackle each boss as a
normal or heroic
encounter, as they reach it.

WOTLK Player Achieves Every
Achievement

Caspi from Refuge on the EU server Taerar has just
"achieved" every
single achievement in Wrath of the Lich King, even
the 25man Lich
King Heroic kill, which means essentially that he has
"beat" Wrath of
the Lich King! Seeing as there's nothing else to
obtain or complete,
I wonder if he was sad to see that there was no
Achievement for
completing every Achievement. Maybe Blizzard should
make the "Completed every
achievement" and name it Caspi!

World of Warcraft Cataclysm Guide

The third
official expansion pack for World of Warcraft is on the way and should
be here by the end of the year. So, understandably, there are players
everywhere trying to prepare for the new content by putting together
lists of things to get done before the expansion launches. Here are
three that every good player should consider.

1.    Your
Achievements – There are plenty of achievements that will become feats
of strength soon, so get in there and complete them while you still can.
Almost all of the questing and exploration achievements in Azeroth are
expected to be backed up a bit when the game makes the leap forward (no
confirmation on this), and many raid accomplishments may be nerfed soon.

2.
Stop Farming – When we get within 2-3 months of Cataclysm, farming for
gold will be a tricky business. As more info comes out about Cataclysm
and what will be nerfed (pretty much everything), the value of those
items will drop sharply, as it did before Wrath. Stop farming old world
ores, gems, herbs, and skins unless you specifically need them. Don’t
stockpile anything that cannot be immediately used or you’ll only be
wasting valuable game time.

3.    Old World Leveling – If you’ve
never levelled up an Orc or a Human now is the time to do it. For that
matter, any race you’ve yet to play should be run through – at least up
to level 15 or so, to get an idea of what the old world levelling was
originally built as. Soon, those levelling sequences and starting areas
will be completely overhauled as the game is rebuilt from the ground up.

Cataclysm will bring a lot of changes and only those that are
truly ready will be able to take full advantage of them. If you create a
nice list of tasks to complete and properly prepare to complete them
all, you’ll be well on your way to dominating the content that so many
other players will be struggling through on launch day.

WoW Cataclysm World Event

The
number one Cataclysm related thing we have heard about recently is the
world event – the in-game occasion that will announce Deathwing’s
arrival and bring about this whole new scenario. Thus far, we haven’t
gotten any official word on what to expect, but some very active data
miners have unlocked quite a bit of information from the patch files to
showcase what we might see.

Current Information

Thus far,
we have quite a few little hints as to what might be coming. We saw that
there were invisible mobs wandering throughout Stormwind, and recently
Twilight’s Hammer items and altars have been unlocked – all pointing
toward cult member incursion before Deathwing’s escape. Other small
items have been found such as banners and dragon filled items that all
point to the cult helping Deathwing with his escape.

Additionally,
we have the Ruby Sanctum raid dungeon coming in the 3.3.5 patch. This
intermediate raid dungeon will have players defending the Ruby Dragon
Aspect from a troupe of black dragon representatives trying to clear the
way for Deathwing’s return. Later, there is expected to be an even
greater incursion as they try to clear away more of Deathwing’s old
enemies.

What We Don’t Know

Of course, how the actual
event will go down is still unknown. Whether there will be a long
lead-in or if the black dragon will just bust through Azeroth and start
reigning fire on everyone is yet to be seen. We’ll likely have
significant confirmations soon as the last few patches before the 4.0
upgrade are released. Additionally, while the developers have remained
rather tightlipped thus far about the content in Cataclysm, they will
start releasing Alpha information soon, which always leaks just a little
bit. Betas should start by the middle of the summer and that means a
free flow of information that will show us everything we need to know
about the transition.

Azshara Pearl Farming Gold Tips

Tue, 20/04/2010 - 10:41

Azshara Pearl Farming Gold Tips

These
days, gold farming tips tend to be centered on the Auction House and on
farming items like Relics and Elementals in Storm Peaks. However, more
and more people are turning to the forgotten realms of the Old World
where necessary crafting goods are wallowing in obscurity. One such
location is in Azshara where you’ll find the Temple of Arkkoran –
located in the northeast corner off the coast of the Bitter Reaches.

This
temple, loaded with Murlocs and Pincers, has one of the highest
combined drop rates in the game for Big Mouth Clams. These particular
clams are so popular because they can drop Golden Pearls, Black Pearls,
Iridescent Pearls, and Zesty Clam Meat – all highly valuable. Golden
pearls will draw between 60-70 gold on many servers while Black Pearls
draw 15 gold and iridescent pearls draw 5 gold.

The zone itself
was never part of any levelling paths back in the day and has minimal
lore interest (until Cataclysm hits), so it is very empty as of right
now, making it a prime farming location.

Your Farming Path

The
farming path itself involves clearing out the temple, then going down
to the beach and running it clear for 6-7 minutes while the temple
respawns. It takes that long for the respawn and the kill times are very
quick since the mobs are all around level 50.

On average, a
completed farming path through the temple and around the beach outside
will net you between 65 and 100 gold in a space of 10 minutes at Level
80. A single stack of clams will yield on average 1 golden pearl and 3-4
black pearls, and the rest of your junk will add up quickly for nice
returns.

In short, this is one of the best and most underrated
farming locations in the game with minimal worry about dying and easy
prey all the way around, allowing you to make as much as 600 gold per
hour on average.

How To Make Gold Fast With Dailies

Sun, 11/04/2010 - 13:53

Zygor's Dailies & Events Guide

There are more
and more people joining the ranks of World of Warcraft every day. Nobody
can get enough of this game and there are plenty of reasons why. In
WoW, you can escape the realities of everyday life. Just relax, do a few
dailies to make a little gold, and just have fun with friends - not a
bad way to spend an evening. And as you do this, you'll naturally make
gold over time.

However, there may come a time when you want
to get a little more out of the time you spend in the game. There are
items that cost 20,000 gold, and surely you want those items. This means
that in order to get the most out of your WoW experience, you'll have
to make gold as quickly as possible.

The Basics

But how
do you do this? There are several things to keep in mind when trying to
make gold quickly in WoW by doing dailies. You probably already know
that daily quests award you with gold for completing them. And
initially, in WoW, items do not cost that much gold to purchase. But
eventually, the items become very expensive, especially the best of the
best items you'll want to get when you hit level cap. So, you need a
game plan to be able to afford all the items you want, if you want them
before the end of time.

Focus on Gold

When you want to
build up a stockpile of gold quickly in WoW, you have to supplement your
regular activites with activities designed specifically to make you a
lot of gold. Doing dailies is a great way to make a lot of gold quickly.
All daily quests pay out gold when you complete them. The key is to pay
attention to the amount of gold each daily rewards you with when you
complete them. You should also take time into consideration when trying
to make gold fast in WoW using dailies. If you can make 200 gold, but it
takes you 5 hours to do it, that's not very much gold per hour. There
are good ways to make a lot of gold per hour, such as optimized speed
gold dailies runs.

There are guides available that will lead
you step-by-step through completing speed gold dailies runs, among
other cool things. Zygor's Dailies & Events Guide is one of those
guides. Save up your gold from completing speed gold dailies runs every
day and you'll be well on your way to making gold fast in WoW and
buying those expensive items you want.

World of Warcraft Patch 3.9 - World of Warcraft Cataclysm

It’s been a
long time since Cataclysm was first announced, and honestly we haven’t
seen all that much information come out that wasn’t already discussed at
Blizzcon 2009. That’s likely about to change soon as the rumor mills
are roaring about the beta starting in April or May. But, even with a
beta on the way, players are likely going to be spending a tremendous
amount of time trying to uncover the new details that will make up their
gameplay in 6+ months. So, the 3.9 announcement is a big deal for a lot
of lore and detail hungry fans.

What the 3.9 Patch Will Do

As of right
now, we don’t know for a fact what the 3.9 patch will entail as a whole.
It is likely to be the complete prologue patch for the expansion pack,
as we have already seen details in the twilight models, the earthquakes
in game, and the various other items in the patch files from 3.3 and
beyond. However, after that, we only know that the retaking of Echo
Isles and Gnomereggan – the homes of the Trolls and Gnomes, two of the
least developed races in the game.

For many players this is a very welcome
development. After all, these are two races that have been around since
launch day and have never gotten much respect, even with two new races
already added and two more on the way. So, fleshing them out and getting
them their own events and lore heroes is a must.

What This
Means for Cataclysm

The big question though is what this
will do to tie in with the Cataclysm release that will occur probably a
month or so after the patch. Will it be a big precursor, or will there
be another patch after 3.9 with details on the actual changes? We
already know that the Cataclysm changes to the world itself will come
whether you have the expansion or not, so the big question now is when
that will happen and how much of the new content will we have access to?
Looks like we’ll have to wait and see for a bit longer.

Cataclysm’s Possible New Gold Cap

Mon, 05/04/2010 - 15:47

CLICK HERE NOW FOR SECRET GOLD GUIDE

World of Warcraft - New Cataclysm Gold Cap?

When it comes to rumors, nothing is
more interesting than the impact that a new expansion pack will have on
the in-game economy. Right now, we have a new development brewing due to
a couple of rather vague blue posts in response to some forum
questions. While this is all speculation, anytime a game developer
comments on something like the gold cap with a big fat “maybe” we know
they are probably considering making a change. So, what would the shift
in the gold cap actually mean? Let’s take a look.

The Current
Gold Cap

The current gold cap is 214,748 gold, 36 silver and 47 copper.
It’s a number that has nothing to do with the game, rather is a cap on
the programming language used to calculate the gold. So, there is no
real reason for the cap other than memory usage which is a much smaller
issue than when they were developing the game 6 years ago. But, very few
players have reached the gold cap, so why would they need to raise it
any higher than that?

Reasons for a Higher Gold Cap

First off,
the gold cap has become an attainable goal in recent months. There are
guide products being sold that tout being able to hit it, players have
made videos, and some players even claim to have hit the gold cap on
multiple characters. The volume of gold you can make per hour makes it
all very feasible.

But, who needs more than 200,000 gold?
To start with, Cataclysm could introduce new gold sinks that are far
beyond what we already have. Remember the responses to news that
Mammoths would cost 20,000 gold in Wrath? Players were freaking out. How
would they make that much gold? It turned out it wasn’t that hard after
all, but it was a huge increase from TBC to WotLK in terms of earning
rates. The cap for players in TBC was around 250 gold an hour at the
most. In WoTLK, players can make upwards of 800+ gold an hour by farming
and even more if they hit the auction house.

So, yes the
gold cap could easily be raised and if Blizzard is okay with a higher
limit for currency holdings, it very well might. Inflation is an
expected side effect of the new economy now, but we’ll have to see what
happens when it finally hits.

For now, we can all keep trying for the
current gold cap.

Jewelcrafting Gold Making Guide Patch
3.3.3

One of the most popular professions in World of Warcraft for
making gold is Jewelcrafting. It allows players to prospect and break
down ore, snag dozens of rare recipes and items with their daily quest
tokens, and swap out for major gold in the Auction House. But, it’s also
a profession where a lot of gold can be lost if you’re not careful. So,
here are a few things to consider with the recent 3.3.3 patch changes.

Honor
Changes

Players can buy epic gems with their honor, and with honor changed
as it is now to reward players for their marks of honor and their total
playtime in the battlegrounds, those gems just got cheaper. Plus, with a
spike of players now working with the new battleground finder, you’ll
find that many players are seeing their gem values drop as the markets
get saturated.

What can you do? First, stop selling
gems. Buy them up at the lower prices. We still have one more raid at
least before the Cataclysm stuff starts to hit, so there will be at
least a small surge in gem demand when the Ruby Sanctum hits. All those
epic gems you save up will go back up in value. It may not reach the
200+ gold levels they were at before, but they will be much higher than
what they are now.

Walking Carefully

While there
are plenty of ways to make gold right now, make sure you pay close
attention with each major and minor patch released. With the new
expansion closing in soon and the beta about to hit, you’ll probably see
all sorts of stuff turning up in the game that you weren’t used to. Who
knows what those changes will do the economy.

What We Know

It’s been a long time since Cataclysm

Warcraft Blueprint - World's Greatest WoW Guide

Warcraft
Blueprint - WoW Leveling Tips

Leveling up in a game like World of
Warcraft is a time consuming process. It starts way back in your
starting zones and it will take you across all over Azeroth, Outland and
Northrend to reach level 80. Some players can get the entire process
done in as little as 3 days, but for those of you that cannot – and for
those that are struggling to get it all done in less than a week or two –
here are some things you could very well be doing wrong.

1.
Farming for Gold – To start with, stop farming for gold. You’re wasting
time and you don’t need gold until you hit Level 80 or so. Most of the
gold you need can be gathered while questing. If you’re coming up a bit
short, grab mining and skinning and gather gold that way as you level.
But, stop farming so much – it’s a waste of time.

2.    Not
Speccing Your Talents – Your talents are vital for getting to better
levels in the game. If you want to level up faster, you need to spec in a
way that is designed to support levelling speed, not tanking or
healing. Talk to your fellow players or check the wikis to see which
specs are best for levelling your class.

3.    Not Questing –
Always quest when playing the game. These quests award huge XP bumps as
you move upward and will allow you to get to new heights at record
speed. Make sure to spend a great deal of time playing the game, but
always quest and it will go by much faster.

If you’re doing any
of these three things, you’re wasting time and effort by levelling up
the slow, amateur way. Rather than wasting all that time on strategies
that have not worked since 2.1, make sure you get the right streamlined
approach in place and blast your way to level 80 with a clear idea of
quests and areas you’ll visit.
